I have gotten a discount at a store once, it wasn't easy but I was buying several cards at once spending quite a good bit of money there, I asked for a discount. At first he bulked at the request till I brought it to his attention that I could always forget his store and buy a Visa Gift card. There are some banks that will give you a discount for quanity purchases.

So after he saw my point of view about getting a discount and maybe losing a sell he gave me a discount of 5%. Not a whole lot, but still better than retail. So always ask to speak to a manager and try to get a discount in the store. If he won't budge, go for the Visa cards.

Getting a discount on a gift card can be frustrating but you can find them and get the discounts. And after getting a sale price on the card you will feel better.

Yes you can shop online and do a GOOGLE search for coupon codes for online stores. Once you find the coupon code to save up to 25% off the total purchase price, buy the gift cards. Most places will have different discount codes throughout the month so ALWAYS check the discount codes before you puurchase a gift card.

An example is if you want to buy a gift card for O'Charlies. Do a Google search for O'Charlies coupon code. Find a website that has the codes ( O'Charlies is just an example I don't know if they have discount codes).. when you are ordering they will have add discount code here, just put that discount code in and submit it. You have sucessfully saved on your gift card. And the nice thing is no one has to really know that you were thrifty when puchasing their gift card. Only you will know that you saved money on it.

Yes! Craigslist is a great place to find the discount gift cards.

Especially after Christmas there are always allot of gift cards up for sale on there that are discounted. Some are discounted as much as 50%. Talk about after Christmas sales! This is the time to stock up on the cards. Even if you don't give these cards as presents, you can still get the discounts just by using the card at the store.

Many times people will get a gift card that they don't shop at the store, and they would rather have the cash to buy something that they want. These are the people that will sell the cards for less cash. It's all good for you cause you get the bargian.

So Check Craigslist for the bargains! You will find the deeply discounted gift cards there. I had picked up a best buys gift card on Craigslist for 35% off the value of the card. You can't even find sales at best buy for that. The nice thing about Best buy gift cards is that you can use it online.

There are cards for everything. Any gift card you want to buy for a discount is on there. The only thing that you have to consider is if they charge shipping charges. Always take that into consideration when looking for a gift card at a discount. But most of the time you can get a great savings on the cards. You can usually save 20-40% off the value of the card on ebay. This is why I love ebay so much.

While grocery stores and drug stores do sell the gift cards now for just about every store these are not discounted. Usually these are more expensive then if you went to the website to buy the card from the stores themselves. They usually charge a surcharge for these cards. So never buy from the grocery stores or the Drug store chains.

Another way that you can get a gift card is free. If you work on survey sites, like Treasure Trooper, or Fairytale Treasures even CashCrate you can earn the free gift cards. I have gotten several Amazon gift cards from Treasure Trooper. These are put back for Christmas presents. The other places you can exchange items for the free cards. These really add up over the year so that by the time Christmas comes around you have a nice collection of cards to hand out without putting out allot of cash. This has worked several years for me. Not only have I collected the gift cards without spending a dime, I also got cash.
